About Tuesday

The fiery Tuesday Sweet Blue is a 36 year old London-based singer with a distinctive tone and gravelly female voice. She’s been likened to well known modern artists Brooke Candy, Paloma Faith, Tina Turner and of course, the great raspy rock singer Janis Joplin. Tuesday's unique raw vocal has been recognised along UK and Europe, and been discovered by most popular music magazines and publications. A graduate of UCL, her vocally trained singing style is sassy, gritty with a power pop kick - perfectly suited for Rock, pop and dirty jazz & soul. Tuesday has performed as a solo artist and collaborative recording projects around the country and is currently set to release her debut single ‘Seeking arrangements’.

    Seeking Arrangements

    • 1. Seeking Arrangements
    • 2. Seeking Arrangements (Remix)

Acclaimed music producer Mike Bennett (The Fall/Ian Brown/ Toya Wilcox/The Specials) and now front-man for The Blockheads was brought in by Friedbanana to work with Tuesday on the track. “There is a definite anthemic glam rock arrangement to this track” Mike exclaims, “Seeking arrangements” is a fun but gritty pop song, playfully tongue in cheek lyrically - with a bit of glam sleaze pop thrown in. Tuesday’s distinct vocal style comes through wonderfully and the chorus ‘I got so much more! I never wanted it nice and easy!’ which brilliantly describes the angst and frustration of a debut singer calling out at her well established female singer rivals, that there is a new cat in town - and that this cat has claws!” The video for the single was shot near a church and Tuesday’s local North London area of Harrow on The Hill and Ealing. “Once my hair and nails are done - I feel I’m ready for anything!” - Tuesday stated, as she belted out the lines of the song in very few takes. All, much to the locals and disgruntled church goers disbelief!
